STOP 01 / OPTION

Powhatan State Park

Option A: Powhatan State Park. Choose a walking route from the current park map.

With your dog: Keep your dog on a leash no longer than 6 feet on trails. Keep pets attended and clean up after them.
Costs: Parking: Powhatan $5 / $5 (standard and weekends) per DCR fee table effective 5/21/2026.

Hours: Dawn to dusk daily. Office/gift shop 9 a.m.–4 p.m. daily.

STOP 02 / OPTION

Option B: Bear Creek Lake State Park. Choose this or Powhatan; dogs cannot use Bear Creek’s beach.

With your dog: Keep your dog on a leash no longer than 6 feet, or confined, and attended. Clean up after your dog. Pets cannot use the beach or enter public buildings, food-service areas, designated swimming areas or yurts.
Costs: Parking: Bear Creek Lake $7 / $7 (standard and weekends) per DCR parking fees effective 5/21/2026. Boat trailer +$3; equestrian +$4 if used.

STOP 03 / OPTION

Optional weekend finish: Lickinghole Creek Craft Brewery. Check current hours and pet guidance before leaving.

With your dog: Keep your dog leashed. The venue’s visitor FAQ welcomes dogs indoors and outdoors; its farm guidelines describe outdoor access. Confirm the area you plan to use with staff.
Costs: No cover stated; pay for beer/food trucks.
